The Middle Classroom

19th Mar 2026
It is a short week this week after the celebrations of Mother's Day and St.Patricks Day.

Huge congratulations to the Ballinacarrow School Marching Band who again performed brilliantly at the Sligo Parade. Well done children all the hard work and practice was worth it!
Also a big thank you to Fionnuala for all her hard work and also to Sinèad who joined us on the day. 🎡🎡

This week as the weather turned for the better, we focused our attention on the school garden.
The children and Trisha planted a variety of vegetables.  Hopefully in the coming months, we will be seeing lots of lettuce, turnips, radishes, beets, potatoes and beans in the school garden.

In Maths this week, we worked on weight.
We discussed the mathematical  language associated with weight and the units of measurement. We then spent time estimating, weighing and recording different items in the classroom.  Super work children. πŸ™‚

In preparation for our Céilì Mór on Friday, the children have been learning Shoe the Donkey and An Dreoilín.
Everyone has been joining in and having fun!
Keep it up children πŸ‘
