The Middle Classroom
6th Nov 2025
Welcome back to all the children after a fun filled Halloween Mid Term break.
This week we have been busy settling back into classroom routines.
In Maths, we have been focusing on number.
Second were using their signs to identify larger or smaller numbers and played a dice game in pairs to further consolidate this topic.
Third and fourth were focusing on multiplication and fourth class used their calculators to check their answers.
In English, we have been writing recounts. We listened to the life story of explorer Marco Polo and the children presented their recounts to the class.
In Geography we were learning the counties of Ireland and in History, we studied the Great Famine.
On Monday, we continued our tin whistle practice and Wednesday saw us resume our Reading Buddies. The senior classes also got an opportunity to partake in Lego Club and some very imaginative pieces were created.
Well done children, a great week! 😊👏
