This week in maths first class have been looking at patterns- it was great to hear the children discussing and recognising patterns in other areas of the curriculum over the week! The infants were learning about directions and positions. They made maps and mazes. Even Mr Snuggles got in on the lesson testing out the directions of some mazes. In Science we were investigating materials and even made a Christmas stocking from felt material. First class went on a "sound walk" - we predicted what sounds we would hear around the school and then had a wander to see if we were right! In art we finished our printed trees by decorating them. We continued our buddy reading this week and all got a bookmark to keep our place in the book.
