May Days

9th May 2025

This week we enjoyed the IZAK -9 cubes; Sligo education centre gave us a loan of these tricky cubes. We had to work together and figure out some number problems and challenges. The hardest part was putting them back into the box in the right order!

We were busy painting some lovely family portraits. We concentrated on facial details and added lots of bright colours. They are all so unique!

For history we were gathering facts on the iPads to learn about the Titanic. We also made some beautiful drawings of this magnificent ship.

In English we had a professional debate around school uniforms. We were putting up arguments for and against uniforms. What is your opinion? What reasons do you have? We will continue our debate next week. The children came up with some super ideas and were able to discuss their side of the argument.

Ms Tymon has started a Lego club with the middle room- there is an engineer, supplier and a builder. This will help us with our teamwork skills. Have a look at some of our creations. Please send in any spare Lego!
We love Lego!
