This week the children learned about St Brigid and her shoe shrine which can be found in the National Museum in Dublin. We decorated our own shoe shrines. The infants were doing number in maths and went out collecting 9 things (Seniors) and 4 things (Juniors). We also made some very big 3D shapes to revise last week's work. We practised our catching skills with our new balls. In drama we have been looking at adverts and how they work. We made some of our own.... The children in 1st class began an experiment to see what materials will rot. We have to wait all while for the results! The children also made circuits to light some bulbs 💡. We even used metal scissors as a conductor. 1st class also began some research into our previous president Michael D Higgins, ready for a project.
