In the Junior Room.
31st May 2025
This week in the Junior Room some of our activities have included lots of measuring. The Junior and Senior Infants were learning about capacity, they looked for full and empty containers and also guessed how many cubes it would take to fill containers. We also looked at different types of scales for weighing. We used a spring balance to weigh our school bags, the heaviest was 2kg - what was in the lunch box that day?? 😂
In Irish we played a fun dice game to practice our new words.
In art we have been making stuffed sea creatures. The 1st week we made patterns of the sea creatures. The 2nd week we cut out the fabric using the patterns. This week we glued and stuffed them and gave them eyes. We were delighted with how they turned out.
1st class painted the wood ready for our bottle top project.
In gymnastics this week , after our warm ups, we were learning how to do forward rolls safely.
