Happy New Year!
Well it was a snowy/slippy start to the year so we scrapped homework this week - yay! We still had lots of playful learning experiences at school this week.
In maths the infants were working on number and investigated numbers 3 and 8.
In art we began working with clay we are making a tile and it will take some time until it's finished as it will involve a few steps. We enjoyed using the clay and it made our hands change colour and go wrinkly!
In Science we looked at different magnets and tested different materials to see if they were 🧲 magnetic. This was great fun! In pe we were practising standing jumps using our arms to help us achieve more distance.
The children in first class were measuring the area where the pre school was as this is going to be developed into a wild garden ready for celebrating the school's 75th anniversary in the summer!
