Happy Easter to you all.
11th Apr 2025
This week in the Junior Room we enjoyed lots of different learning experiences.
The children got to plant out our vegetable seedlings and also some flowers in the window boxes.
We changed our library books and enjoyed reading them outside- we even ate our lunch outside!
Different groups played with the sand each morning. We also got to see a wasp's nest that was brought in - very cool!
In maths the infants set up some very reasonably prices shops and went shopping with money they had made.
We had our final orienteering session- we have really enjoyed orienteering!
We made toys from recycled materials which was great for discussion of design ideas and then trying to make the design.
Well done to the lucky winners of the Easter egg raffle- we raises €37 in our room for Trocaire.
Finally we had an Easter egg hunt - 2 friends from 6th class hid the eggs outside and then we had to find them! We had to put them in the right place in the egg boxes and then we got a chocolate lollipop each. Unfortunately we could not find egg number 3!! So keep your eyes 👀 open! Come in number 3 your time is up!
Wishing you all a Happy Easter and an enjoyable break from the homework, the school lunches and missing jumpers. 🐰🐣
